Michael Brent Heflin, 69, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born on September 24, 1947, the son of James Arthur Heflin and Iris (McIntyre) Heflin.
Mike attended Pennfield Schools. He married his wife on October 3, 1966 and they began their family. He worked at Clark Equipment for 18 years. He was a member of the United States Trotting Association for 33 years, training and racing Standardbred horses. In his later years he was the owner of a janitorial and lawn maintenance company for several years.
Mike is survived by his Wife of 50 years - Marlene (Beatty) Heflin of Battle Creek, Michigan; Brother, James H. (Barb) Heflin; Three Sisters, Judy (Archie) Henderson, Merrie (Van) Phillips, and Martha Eagen-Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents and his only Daughter, Heather Heflin, as well as Father and Mother in Law and four brother in laws.
