Wendy May Maddix, 48, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born on January 24, 1969, the daughter of Douglas Michael Maddix and Erma Carol (Severance) Hensel.
Wendy grew up in Flushing MI, she later attended Lakeview High School.
Wendy is survived by her husband of 35 years Jose L. Vaquera; Son, Nicholas Vaquera; Daughter, Lauren Vaquera; Sisters, Lori Maddix and Angie Lavengood; Brother, Alfred Maddix; Special Friends, Patricia (John) Costin, Gloria (Keith) Vaquera-Little and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other loving family.
Wendy's family came first; Always. She was a very loving and devoted mother. Wendy was an artist at heart. She really enjoyed drawing, puzzles, photography, and other intellectual activities. Wendy was very talented and many things came easy to her. She enjoyed music and could play almost anything she tried. Her heart was gold, and her memories will be cherished by all those she leaves behind.
