Obituary for Norman Eugene Mottinger

Norman Eugene  Mottinger
Norman E. Mottinger, 77, of Battle Creek, Michigan, died on Saturday, October 14, 2017. He was born on June 9, 1940, in Battle Creek the son of Charles Mabel (Ruhl) Mottinger.
Norman graduated from Battle Creek Central High School with the Class of 1959. Norman honorably served his country in the United States Army for four years, stationed in Fort Hood, Texas, battling in the Bay of Pigs. After the army he worked for Kellogg's for 30 years and retired in December of 1995.
Norman enjoyed hunting, fishing and nature. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time outside with his brother, Chuck and dad. He also enjoyed lifting weights with his brothers Chuck and Victor Blanton.
Norman is survived by his Wife of 19 years - Sandy Joyce (Rawson) Mottinger of Battle Creek, Michigan; two Sons, Mark Mottinger and John Rees of South Carolina; Daughter, Julie (Larry) Church, Sister, Nancy Caroline (Leo) Palmer, Sister-In-Law, Linda Mottinger of Shelby Township, MI, Four Grandsons, Best Friend, Bob Aldrich; special friend, Vick Blanton, his favorite CNA, Laurel and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his Father, Charles Henry Mottinger, Mother, Mabel Viola Mottinger and Brother, Charles Junior Mottinger.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 8122 7 Mile Road, Battle Creek, MI 49014 starting at 1:00 pm to celebrate the life of Norman.
