Dennis Allen Rugg, 66, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Oaklawn Hospital. He was born on October 14, 1948, the son of Earl Ira Rugg Sr. and Verda Rugg.
Dennis began his career at Clark Equipment as a mechanic. He later went on to become a truck driver for World Corrugated until he retired.
Dennis is survived by his Wife of 9 years - Gina (Miles) Rugg; four Sons, Timithy Rugg, Gerald (Sue) Rugg, Matthew (Brandi) Rugg, and Jerome Miles; Daughter, Amy Harston; Grandchildren, Ashley, Andy, Ryan, Erika, Stephanie, Anthony, Lukas, and Skylar; Great-grandsons, Ryan and Bryson; two Brothers, Tom (Ruth) Rugg, and Richard Rugg; two Sisters, June Beck, and Rose (H.L.) Mae. He was preceded in death by his Parents and a brother Earl Rugg Jr..
Dennis was a people person and he had a passion for helping others; not only his family but in the community as well. He loved his family more than anything in the world, especially doting on his grandkids. He could always put a smile on your face even when you didn't want to. He spent a lot of his free time racing older cars and newer cars with his boys. Dennis loved to tinker in the garage on his cars but he was very neat and every tool had a place.He enjoyed going up north to go camping and hunting with Gerald. Dennis was a golf nut and he and the boys went out every Wednesday to play.
Visitation was held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm.
