Kenneth "Mr. Mopar" Wayne Garlinger Sr., 62, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 27, 2017 at home. He was born on August 25, 1954, the son of Julian Myers and Lillian Myers.
Ken graduated from Maple Valley High School. He worked at a few factories in his day but he enjoyed being his own boss and often self employed himself doing various odd jobs and working on cars.
Mr. Mopar is survived by his wife of 41 years - Julie Ann (Collins) Garlinger; son, Kenneth W. Garlinger, Jr.; step-son, Thomas J. Smith; Grandchildren, Isabella, Sean, and Katie; and a brother, Gary Garlinger. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Mopar had a passion for vehicles; he loved going to car shows, the drag strip to watch the races, and riding his motorcycle. Ken just enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. For many years he enjoyed bowling with his league. He had a big heart and his memories will be cherished by all the lives he touched.
