Merle Emerson Smith, 84, of Orlando, FL, died Sunday, November 6, 2011. He was born July 12, 1927 the son of William A. Smith and Edna (Avery) Smith.
Merle served in the US Navy and US Air Force in WWII. He retired from Kellogg's in 1984 after 35 years of service.
Merle is survived by Wife of 60 Years: Fay Smith, Sons: Chris (Robin) Smith, Brion (Angela) Smith and Scott Smith; 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents.
Merle served at an usher at the Orlando Baptist Church. He served the Lord faithfully as a maintenance volunteer at the Edgewood Children's Ranch for 18 years along with Fay.
A memorial service will be held at the Family Bible Church, 14995 N. Old US 27, Marshall, MI on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM.
