Betty Lou Wood, 80, of Battle Creek, Michigan, died on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Battle Creek Manor. She was born on November 28, 1934, the daughter of Howard and Bertha Houghton.
Betty was a graduate of Athens High School. She was a volunteer for the Charitable Union.
Betty is survived by her Son: Mark Andrew Wood of Marshall, MI; Daughters: Rose Marie Wood of Battle Creek, MI and Esther Janette Wood of Battle Creek, MI; Grandchildren: Chad Osenbaugh and Carol Osenbaugh; Guardian & Friend: Dianna Nelson of Battle Creek, MI. She was preceded in death by her Parents, 3 Sisters & 1 Brother.
Betty enjoyed sewing, walking, television, her cats. She was a faithful member of the Trinity United Methodist Church where was active in the Dorcas Circle.
A memorial service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Friday, December 26, 2014, 1:00 pm with Pastor Bruce Kintigh officiating.
Interment will take place in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
