Charles Irvin Harrington, age 86, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013. He was born on January 10, 1927 the son of Carl B. and June (Towne) Harrington. Charles proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He was employed as a bus mechanic with the Lakeview School District for many years until he retired. Charles loved to tinker and make things. He enjoyed John Deere tractors, gardening, and plaid shirts. He was great at baking, making wonderful apple pies, pumpkin pies and oatmeal cookies. Charles was also a former member of the VFW.

He is survived by daughter, Becky (Jim) Ramsy of Battle Creek, MI; son, Charles Harrington of Battle Creek, MI; 3 grandchildren, Joshua (Joanna) Harrington, Andrea (Jacob) Inglett, Ian (Taylor) Shive; 2 great-grandchildren, Coby Inglett, Braylee Inglett and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth M.; parents; and sister, Helen Reese.

A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 1:00pm with Pastor James Codde officiating. Arrangements by Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service. (269)788-9800
