Charles Augustus  Parham
Charles Augustus Parham, 68, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 27, 1947, the son of William Howard Parham and Bonnie Bess (Baggetts) Parham.
Charles is survived by his Wife of 4 years, Vanessia Dorilene (Lindsey) Parham of Battle Creek, Michigan and their 3 children, Alivia Parham, Genesis Parham, Janessia Parham; his first wife of 45 years, Judith (Anderson) Parham of Detroit, Michigan and their 8 children, Clarissa Galloway, Thias Parham, Charles A. (SiYona) Parham II, Monique (Robert) Sims, Solomon (Aja) Parham, Hassan (Ebony) Parham, Jason (Shawn) Williams, Eleazar Parham; Five Sisters, Edna (Jerry) Westbrook, Cornelia Scales, Winifred Williams, Pamela Williams, Yvonne Michelle Parham; Two Sister-in-laws, Bernice Parham and Rita Parham; Four Brothers, Gus Parham, Kenneth (Cheryl) Parham, Christopher Parham, Anthony (Valerie) Parham; Best Friend Dennis Smith; 3 Grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, and Brothers, Richard Stanford Parham and William H. Parham, II.
Charles graduated from Detroit Public Schools. Following high school, he served in the United States Army, 327th infantry battalion, The 101st Airborne Division ("Screaming Eagles"), 1st brigade, as a Combat Medic Specialist and paratrooper. He then worked at Chrysler and Ford plants, and for the U.S. Postal Service. He was also a supervisor at the C.A.P. Center.

Charles loved to work on his "Stinkin' Lincoln" more than anything in the world, enjoyed wood working and engraving canes, loved dancing with his wife, and giving people advice. As Charles would say... Do "Whatever blows your hair back."
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 11:00 am.
Interment will take place in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Battle Creek, MI
