Obituary for Christopher Alan Trommater

Christopher Alan Trommater
Christopher A. Trommater, 43, of Lansing, died Friday, February 21, 2014.
Chris was born March 17, 1970 in Lansing, the son of Alan and Cheryl (Berger) Trommater. He graduated from East Lansing High School in 1988. He worked as a writer for several publications including the Lansing State Journal.
He is survived by his beloved fiancée Cheryl Markham of Okemos, his twin brother and best friend Eric, nephew Cooper and niece Piper Trommater, all of Virginia and his cherished Westie, Kailie; also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. Chris was preceded in death by his father Alan in 2004 and his mother Cheryl in 2013. He was a wonderful caregiver to his mother preceding her death.
Chris was very proud of his Scottish heritage, wearing the tartan of the Campbell clan often and with pride. He enjoyed the annual Highland Festival in Alma and loved reciting trivia and facts about Scotland and England. He was very popular on Cheezeburger.com and his submissions were regularly chosen for the front page. He loved to volunteer at the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council picnic, leading the Bingo Game and making sure everyone had a great time each year. He was a dedicated son, brother and friend, always going out of his way to be kind and generous to others. He will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved him.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 29 at 1:00 p.m., at Life in Christ Ministries, 14990 Beadle Lake Road, Battle Creek with Rev. Lawrence Green officiating. The family will provide a dinner and a time for family and friends to share special memories immediately following the service.
