Constance Joan Smock, 78, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence. She was born on August 19, 1938, the daughter of Frederick and Viola (LaTourette) Stahl.
Connie worked for Upjohn and Kellogg for a few years in her younger years, but worked at Meijer in Battle Creek for over 25 years.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Robin (Tom) Whitlock of Battle Creek, MI; granddaughter, Dakota Whitlock and grandson, Devin Whitlock; three sisters, Jane Saide, Shirley (Gerry) Wine, and Penny (Jim) Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Frederick "Rick" Stahl.
Connie absolutely loved to go shopping at the salvation army with her sister Penny every Wednesday. It was among her favorite activities along with attending various craft shows. She also enjoyed doing her own crafts and reading in her spare time. Connie's family was her entire world and she adored her grandkids. Her memories will be cherished by those she leaves behind.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Friday, January 27, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor James Codde of Bronson Hospice at Home officiating.
