Daisy D. McGuire, 78, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. She was born on August 30, 1936, the daughter of George and Lily (Mince) White.

She attended Whittemore High School where she graduated. She then moved to Battle Creek, Michigan where she started her first job at the Post Tavern Hotel as an elevator operator and met Jarritte McGuire Jr. They were married for 7 years. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2011. She worked various nursing aid jobs which ended in retiring from nursing service at the VA Medical Center of 20 years.


Daisy is survived by her two daughters, Beverly ( Gregory) Weems; Cynthia (William) Pruitt and son, Eric (Sharon) McGuire; sister, Irene Morgan; brother, George White, Jr.; sister in law, Virginia Wilson; grandchildren, Garland II, David, Marcus, Decoya, Deontae, Antonio, Deshante, and Jameel; special friends, Johnnie Kelly, Geraldine King, Margie Nichols, Ann Jones, and Ollie Jacobs; special niece, Patricia (Leroy Sr.) Hunt, Babette Wilson, and special nephew, Joseph (Hilda) Morgan. She was preceded in death by her Father, George White, Mother, Lily White, brothers, Bill Wilson, Richard White, Simmie White and Noah White.


Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm with a funeral service to follow at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service at 2:30 pm with Rev. Ricky Bradley officiating.
