David Edward Joplin, 50, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 14, 2015 at home. He was born on February 20, 1965, the son of Doris Edward Joplin and Bettiejean (Karsh) Joplin.
David is survived by his Mother, eight Children: Dareekia Swift, Nikki Joplin,David Joplin II, Precious Swift, twins LaTiesha and LaToya Joplin, Jerrica Joplin, Juanita Joplin; four Sisters: Sandra Joplin, Jeanna (Timothy) Joplin-Woodson, Teresa Stanley, and Ingrid Joplin. Grandmother: Vivian F. Carson. He was preceded in death by his Father and Brother, Jerry Joplin.
David enjoyed playing sports, football and wrestling. He was musically inclined and enjoyed playing the bass and singing in the choir. David was a Deacon. He enjoyed playing discus in his younger years.
A graveside service will take place in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
