Delmas Beachel Bevins, 68, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 8, 2015. He was born on August 4, 1946, the son of Beachel Warren and Wennive (Cox) Bevins.
Del was a 1965 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and served in the US Marines during Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart. He was employed at Bill Knapp's from 1962 until 1974 and then at Ralston from 1974 until retiring in 2005 as a supervisor.
Del is survived by his Mother: Wennive Bevins of Battle Creek, MI; Wife of 46 years: Annita (Shaw) Bevins of Battle Creek, MI; Sons: Brian (Cari) Bevins of Eaton Rapids, MI and Chad Bevins of Battle Creek, MI; Grandchildren: Dustin, Zachary and Madison Bevins. He was preceded in death by his Father.
Del was an avid golfer and enjoyed golfing with his family and friends. He played softball for Ralstons for many years and was a member of Victory Life Church.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Thursday February 12, 2015 from 6 PM to 8 PM.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Friday, February 13, 2015, 11 AM with Pastor Jon Major of Victory Life Church officiating.
Interment will take place in the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
