Dorrie Lynnette (Jones) Downs, age 53, of Battle Creek, MI passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014. She was born in Battle Creek, MI on May 9, 1961; the daughter of Kenneth R. Jones and Norma Whaley, both of which are deceased. Dorrie was employed with Wal-Mart as a cosmetologist. She loved oil painting and spending time with her family. Dorrie was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Herpin; son, Brian R. Downs Jr.; 4 Grandchildren; sisters, Karen Walters, Brenda Jex; brother, Gary Jones. Dorrie was preceded in death by a son, Brandon William Downs, her parents and brother, Richard Clyed King.

Family will receive friends at Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 10:00am to 11:00am. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am with Pastor Codde officiating. Interment will take place at Bedford Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family or the Cancer Care Center.
