Douglas Lee Hart, 49, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital. He was born on January 27, 1969, the son of Gary Hart and Delana Sue (Wooten) Chase.
In his passing he was able to save two lives through organ donation. Doug attended and graduated from Gull Lake High School.
Doug is survived by his Son, Nathan Allen (Shelby) Butcher; Sister, Angie (Michael) Keeton; Girlfriend, Katie Trueax; Grandsons, Leo, Ezra and Graham Butcher; Brother, Jamie (Tammy) Hart; Nephew, Gary (Sinda) Pontuis Jr; Four Nieces, Lacey (Ryan) Ostrander, Kaylin (Travis) Pontuis, Tara (Jerel) Pontuis, Samantha Hall, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father, Gary Hart, Mother, Delana Sue Chase, Sister, Krista Jean Hart and Niece, Jessica Hart.
Doug loved music, it didn't matter if he was listening or producing, he loved being behind the mic. He was often referred to as "Digg Dugg" during his music career. Doug was an animal lover and enjoyed helping people and staying close with his family. His family, especially his grandchildren had a special place in his heart. He was a loving and caring man that would give himself to anyone no matter if he knew them or not.
