On the opening day of deer season many many years ago when I was just a kid, I knew you always hunted by an old apple tree across the lake. I decided to hunt at the end of the lane. A huge buck came out of the woods too far for me to shoot, well out of range. I couldn't resist, I took a shot and of course missed. The huge buck jumped and ran toward the lake almost jumping over your head. After I saw that I knew I was in trouble so I snuk away and when I reached the other side of the farm I fired another shot so you would think I was hunting a long ways away. When I finished hunting and returned to the house you were fuming. You told the story about someone sneaking onto the farm and scaring this enormous buck and it ran almost knocking you down. I said "oh come on ma that's a little hard to swollow". She stuck to her story for years when I would bring it up. I never told her it was me that scared the deer.
