Frances Elizabeth Fettes
Frances Elizabeth Fettes, born October 9, 1927 in Battle Creek, Michigan, went home to be with her Lord, October 25, 2011 at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence, Battle Creek. Her parents Clarence and Inez Bemis and sister Jeanette Adams preceded her in death. Her sister Barbara Balisky lives in Grand Prairie, Alberta, Canada.
Fran grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan, where she graduated from Lakeview High School in 1945. She then attended Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated in 1950. She spent some time in Chicago, IL where she started her family. She returned to Battle Creek and began working at the Kellogg Company and retired after 35 years. Fran is also survived by her four children; Barbara Blackmore (husband David), Rebecca Moon, all of Grand Rapids, Charles Fettes (wife Robin) of Peyton, Colorado and Jayne Wilson of Battle Creek. She was also blessed with five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Fran was an active member of Faith Baptist Church of Battle Creek.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 4 PM to 7 PM.
A memorial service will be held at the Faith Baptist Church, 13840 S. Helmer Road on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Pastor James Augustine and Rev. David Blackmore officiating.
Memorial tributes may be made to the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence.
