George Michael Haineault, 56, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the University of Michigan Health System. George Micheal battled leukemia, like everything else he did, with the determination to win. He was born September 27, 1956 the son of George David Haineault and Shirlean (Coffee) Haineault.
George Micheal was a 1974 graduate of Battle Creek Academy. He was employed at Post Cereals for 36 years until retiring in 2012.
George Micheal is survived by his Wife of 36 Years: Debbie (Burrows) Haineault of Battle Creek, MI; Daughter: Amy Haineault of Battle Creek, MI and Jamie Crandell of Kalamazoo, MI; Son: Travis (Jamie) Haineault of Battle Creek, MI; Grandchildren: Daniel Walker, Jordyn Williams, Bryce Jackson and Carter Haineault; Brother: Mark (Linda) Haineault of Battle Creek, MI; Sisters: Suzette Currier of South Carolina and Melsia Carlton of Florida. He was preceded in death by his Parents.
George Micheal had a zest for life and a smile that would light up a room. He was so proud of his family and was always amazed at the number of great friends he had. He loved cars, or anything with spark plugs, but his favorites were Mopars and he was the owner of George's Hot VW's. He restored a 66 Charger which he has owned for 30 years. The Charger is currently on display at the Gilmore Car Museum. He will be missed so much.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Friday, February 1, 2013, 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 1PM.
Interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial tributes may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Family of George Haineault.
