Holly Maarjte DeKorte, 56, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital. She was born on December 25, 1957, the daughter of Carol Jean (Tarbell) and Jerry Parson and the late William DeKorte.

Holly graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1977.

Holly is survived by her two sisters, Tracey (Rod) Moskun of Battle Creek, Marla (Larry) Harris of Clarksville, TN and brothers, Herb (Carol) DeKorte of Carmichael, CA, Thomas (Tina) Parsons of Bellevue, Daniel (Angie) Parsons of Delton and Jerry Parsons of Battle Creek; Nieces Katie DeKorte of Carmichael, CA and Danielle Moskun of Battle Creek, Nephews Martin DeKorte of Clarksville, TN, Jason (Jessica) Harris of Clarksville, TN and Michael Moskun of Battle Creek and close friends Aaron and Missy.

Holly loved her two cats Cally and Kasey. She loved doing jigsaw puzzles, puzzle books and shopping. Holly was a kind, feisty, and funny lady who loved to talk to others on her journeys around town. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

A private family service will be held. Memorial tributes may be made to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan.
