James R Sample Sr., 73, of Battle Creek, Michigan, on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Bronson Battle Creek. He was born on December 29, 1941, the son of Roy Edwin Sample and Phyllis Irene (Wood) Sample.
James is survived by his children, Jean (Tom) Brackett of Dearborn, MI, Son James R (Tonya) Sample Jr. of Westland, MI; Sherrie Albright of Dearborn Heights, Kerri Little of Columbia, TN; , Six Grandchildren, Leah Brackett of Dearborn, Kevin Sample of Westland, Jenna Brackett of Dearborn, Theresa Brackett of Dearborn; Ashton Little of Columbia, TN; Kaylie Little of Columbia, TN; Two Grandsons. . He was preceded in death by his Sister, Beverly Debaun, Father, Roy Edwin Sample, Mother, Phyllis Irene Sample.
James was strong willed to the end. Enjoyed his friends at the Senior Center, American Legion #298 and VFW. He was an avid Tiger fan. .
A service will be held at the Fort Custer National Cemetery, at 11:00am, on October 16, 2015.
Interment will take place in the Fort Custer National Cemetery.
