It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jason Lynn Burdette, Sr. Jason was born August 18, 1980, the son of Jamie Lyn Burdette and Thomas Lyn Eberhard. He unexpectedly departed this life October 22, 2013. Originally from Battle Creek, MI, Jason moved to Zephyrhills, Florida, and recently moved back “home”. Jason attended Harper Creek Schools most of his life, and graduated from Cornerstone Christian Academy. He was employed several different places, working primarily as an iron worker.

Jason is survived by his sons, Marquee Tavon Shephard, Jason Lyn Burdette, Jr.; father, Thomas (Renee) Eberhard; sister, Jennifer Weigand-Eberhard; brothers, Thomas and Shane Eberhard; grandmothers, Shirley M. Burdette and Joyce Ackley; uncles, Jim Burdette, Steve Burdette, Tim Eberhard; aunts, Robin Frame, Suzanne Parker, Teresa Vantrease, Susie Towery; niece, Kyleigh Hinton; nephew, Evan Eberhard; special cousins, Justin Kacee, Tara Parker-Burdette, Steve Burdette, Sabrina Frame, John Burdette; special friends, Arica Parker, Jenie Wyall, and Jenny Jones-Lydenberg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jamie Lyn Burdette; brother, William Joseph Horwath; and grandfather, James Oley Burdette “Dad”.

Jason’s proudest accomplishment was being a father. He had a kind, loving heart, and was willing to help anyone. He had a passion for riding his Harley. He took pride in riding as well as taking advantage of every opportunity to ride. Jason loved his family and was vocal about his appreciation for the friends and family that left his side. Jason will be greatly missed, but will live on in the hearts of the many people who love him.

Visitation will be held at Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on October 31, 2013 at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Friends may send condolences or share a memory at baxterfuneral.com.
