Jeff Barnes, 60, was employed by Consumers Energy for 23 years. He proudly served as a member of the Ohio National Guard. Jeff had a huge heart and wanted nothing but love for everyone in his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, soaking up the sun and cheering on his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes.
Jeff went to be with the Lord on Sunday August 14th. He was survived by his loving wife Maria; children Jeffrey Barnes, Erika Barnes, Jason (Cassie)Brumfield, Aaron(Kim) Brumfield, Nathan Pallet; grandchildren; Lexi, Peyton , Cooper and Joey; great grandchild; Caine: brother Keith (Cheri) Barnes; nephew Seth (Morgan) Barnes, niece Allison (Bobby) Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents Ronald and Janis Barnes.
The funeral will be held at Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service in Battle Creek, Michigan on Saturday August 20th, Family will begin greeting at 10am. The celebration of Jeff’s life will begin at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Lung Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
