Jane "Jennie" Arlene Trantum, 103, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 She was born on November 24, 1913, in Herkimer New York. She was the daughter of Arthur Croft and Mable (Gross) Croft.
Jane is survived by her Sons, John "Tom" Thomas (Nancy) Trantum of Lansing, MI; Dennis Arthur (Beth) Trantum of Battle Creek, MI and Daughter, Lisa (Steve) Newman of El Paso, IL; 9 Grandchildren & 12 Great Grandchildren; Special Friend and Caretaker, Monica Yeko of Battle Creek, MI. She was preceded in death by her Parents and her Husband, Hugh Merle Trantum and son David Trantum.
Jane and Hugh lived, worked and raised their family in New York, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Michigan. They were inseparable during their sixty four years of marriage as they enjoyed antiquing, gardening and refinishing furniture together. They retired to Saugatuck, MI where they enjoyed many friends, community events, and family gatherings. The most important thing during Jane's life was family. Her children and grandchildren were blessed with wonderful memories of time spent with Jane and Hugh, especially in Saugatuck.
A Memorial Service will be held at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Saugatuck, Michigan on April 22, 2017.
