Jerry Lamar Moore, 58, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went home on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at his home . He was born on February 4, 1958, the son of Henry "Nick" Dorsey and Mary Frances Moore.

Jerry is survived by his Wife of 37 years - Vicki Renee (Irby) Moore of Battle Creek, Michigan; Son, Jovan A (Tameka) Moore of Battle Creek; Daughter, Imani C Moore of Battle Creek; Six Sisters, Evelyn Eagle of Columbus, GA, Debra Dorsey of Ft Pierce, FL, Angela Dorsey of West Palm Beach, FL, Deborah Moore of Riviera Beach, FL, Sonja (Baldwin) Shelton of McDonough, GA, Natalie Dorsey of Riviera Beach, FL; Two Brothers, Henry Dorsey, Jr. of Riviera Beach, FL, Michael Dorsey of West Palm Beach, FL; Four Grandchildren, Kavonnah Moore of Battle Creek, Tierra Moore of Battle Creek, JasJuan Olden of Battle Creek, Ke'Von Moore of Battle Creek; Special Mother, Clara Wilburn of Memphis, TN; Best Friend, Edward "Vus" Gates of Howell; . He was preceded in death by his Father, Henry "Nick" Dorsey, Mother, Mary Frances Moore.
Jerry's first love was his wife and children. His grandchildren were ever present on his mind. Additionally he really like to socialize and converse with many. He was full of life. He was an avid book reader, watching the food channel and he loved watching his grandson play and grow. Jerry was also a sports enthusiast, watching many different sports on the television..
A visitation will be held at the Unity Missionary Baptist Church, on Thursday July 21, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with the family. A Home Going will immediately follow. Rev LeRoy Smith will be officiating.
Jerry has been cremated.
