Judith Ann Sackett, 73, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence. She was born on February 1, 1942, the daughter of Leon R. Winkler and Francis Mae (Chantrene) Winkler.
Judith was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. She was employed at Pennfield Schools food service for many years and then later retired from Target.
Judy is survived by her Husband of 56 years: Kenneth L. Sackett of Battle Creek, MI; Sons: Mark (Tina) Sackett and Matthew (Amber) Sackett both of Battle Creek, MI; Seven Grandchildren: Chelsea Sackett, Mark Sackett, Christopher Sackett, Shandell Sackett, Ashlea Sackett, Brittany Sackett and Cody Sackett; 7 Great Grandchildren; Sister: Arlene (Carl) Cutsinger; Brother: Leon Winkler and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents; her Daughter: Kimberly Ann Sackett (1971) and Son: Michael L. Sackett (2009).
Judith enjoyed traveling, cooking, her dog and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of First Nazarene Church.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Wednesday July 15, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene, 12866 Beadle Lake Road, on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Ryan Wolford of First Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Interment will take place in the Hicks Cemetery.
