Lawrence Allan  Plato
Lawrence Allan Plato, 80, of Springfield, Michigan, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at home. He was born on October 11, 1936, the son of Eugene Byron Plato and Gladys (Tusing) Plato.
Lawrence was a faithful member of the U.S. Army for 8 years as a Sgt. He was also member of the National Security Agency.
Lawrence is survived by his wife of 26 years - MaryAnn (Lillie) Plato; son, Arthur Plato; five step-daughters, Tina Ashley, Laural Lirones, Catherine Nichols, Valerie (Matthew) Putman, and Tonya Scott; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three brothers, Steven (Terri) Plato, Charles Plato, and Merle Patterson; two sisters, Edith (Steve) Paul, Kelly (Jim) Dumaine and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Roger Plato and Byron Plato, daughter, Elle Plato, brothers, Edward Plato, Cecil Plato, Richard Plato, Clover Plato, Gerald Plato, Michael Plato and a sister, Ellen Plato.
Lawrence loved to tell stories...he always had quite the imagination which shined through his stories to his family and friends. Among other things, he enjoyed watching movies, playing on the computer, and reading books. Lawrence had a passion for dancing and he particularly loved to dance with his beloved wife, MaryAnn. His memories will be cherished by his loving family and friends that he leaves behind.
