Condolence: Mary, Steve and family. We were saddened to hear of Roger's passing. Roger and you will always hold a special place in our hearts as you embraced us and our children when we were new to the Battle Creek/Pennfield Community. We will never forget how you reached out to us to let us know that you kept a close eye on Cassandra, Travis and Tanner every morning as they waited for the school bus in your front yard. Roger always made sure the snow was cleared and the tree branches trimmed for them. When summer came you reached out to invite (insist) the kids as well as Cinder and Sable come over any time to use your swimming pool. Roger is a great man who lived a great life and was loving to all. He will be missed. His watchful eye continued when we had problems with one of their classmates. We know he would have done anything necessary to protect our family. We were blessed to have known him and will find peace in our fond memories of being his friend and a part of your family. We are out of town this week but will call when we return.
