Obituary for Margaret Frances Kurtzman

Margaret  Frances  Kurtzman
Margaret Frances Kurtzman, 93, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Boschway AFC. She was born on February 9, 1922, the daughter of Charles Oliver Larew and Virginia Agnes (Dotson) Larew.
Margaret was a 1939 graduate of Grafton High School in Grafton, WV. Her working career included managing and bartending several business' in Battle Creek.
Margaret is survived by her Daughter: Linda (Samuel) Walden; Sons: John (Carmen) Kurtzman and Randy (Barbara) Kurtzman; Grandchildren: Christopher, Andrew, Samantha, Cameron, Tayler, Alecia, James, Morgan, Randi & Peri; Great-Grandchildren: Gracie, Tristen, Nicholas, Bryce & Hunter. She was preceded in death by her Parents and Husband of 66 years: John "Jack" Henry Kurtzman (2012).
Margaret was a past National, State and Region II President of the Ladies Auxiliary Military Order of the Purple Heart, a past Departmental Chapeau of the 8et40 and Past President of the following organizations: 3rd District American Legion Auxillary, 7th District VFW, Calhoun County Salon 41 8et40, Unit 54 American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 110 Ladies Auxiliary MOPH, Unit 875 VFW, United War Veteran's Auxiliary, Territorial School PTA, Battle Creek Federation of Women's Clubs and life member of Unit 565 VFW. She was a forty year volunteer at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Thursday May 28, 2015 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service n Road, on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at 9:30 am with Pastor Tim Smothers officiating.
Interment will take place in the Fort Custer National Cemetery.
