Marjorie Ann Shaver, 81, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Alamo Nursing Home in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born on April 3, 1935, the daughter of Emmett Joseph Ryan and Johanna "Jenny" Ludmilla (Cerny) Ryan.
Marjorie was a graduate of Visitation Catholic High School in Dubuque, Iowa.
Marjorie is survived by her Daughter, Debra Deluhery-Smith of Kalamazoo, MI; Sons, Daniel (Amy) Deluhery of Conroe, TX, David (Leslie) Deluhery of Portage, MI and Timothy Shaver of Boring, OR; 6 Grandchildren & 13 Great Grandchildren, Brother, Roger (Marion) Ryan of CA and Sister, Geraldine Ryan of IA. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband, Norton Lafette Shaver, Sister, Virginia Bakewell, Brothers, David Ryan and Thomas Ryan, Sister, Marilyn Zurek.
Marjorie enjoyed shopping, reading, spending time with her friends. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.She was formerly a member of the Riverside Country Club for many years.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service , 375 W. Dickman Road, on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 12:00 noon.
Interment will take place in the Fort Custer National Cemetery.
