Life Story for Marjorie Irene Reichel (Lindstrom)

Mrs. Marjorie Irene (Lindstrom) Reichel went to be with her husband, Nicholas, in Heaven on February 9, 2013. Marjorie was born on April 23, 1917, in Negaunee, Michigan, to Elmer and Tyne Lindstrom.
Marjorie graduated from Negaunee High School in 1934 where she excelled in Commercial Business. She met and married her husband Nicholas and were married for 54 years! They raised four children: Ronald, Gary, Carol, and Cathy. They moved to Battle Creek in the 1940’s and have resided here ever since. Marjorie’s’ family has always come first in her life.
She was a local tax accountant for 40 years and also was an active member of St. Philip Catholic Church, where she was involved in the St. Philip Guild and kept the church looking lovely where she tended the altars by maintaining the linens and the Priest’s vestments. She was very active in local and Presidential elections for 30+ years. She was a humble and dedicated person and took pride in all she did.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas, a son Ronald, infant daughter Marlene, sister Judy Antoine and brother Bill Lindstrom.
She is survived by a brother, Wayne Lindstrom of Traverse City, MI, and two sisters, Alice Jenkins and Nancy Nelson of Negaunee, Michigan.
She is survived by a son, Gary (Mary Jane) Reichel of Battle Creek, MI, two daughters, Carol (James) Erickson of Scottsdale, AZ, and Cathy (Michael) Downes of Bellevue, MI. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Bob Reichel, John Reichel, Melissa (Jeff) Nimtz, Michael Erickson, and Jennifer (Matt) Steele. She has 5 great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Cameron, Ryan, Kaylee, and Brady. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She always loved to sing and kept a song in her heart!
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 6 PM to 8 PM.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Francis Marotti of St. Philip Catholic Church officiating.
Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
