Marsha Gay Grafft, 66, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence. She was born on October 7, 1948, the daughter of Douglas Graves and Beverly (Ellsworth) Graves.
Marsha graduated from Pennfield High School in 1966. She began work for Federal Home and HBJ until 1987, then moved to Mass Mutual Insurance until 1990. She was a contract worker for Kellogg's until 1995 when she began working at Michigan Works through 2011. She ended her career at Kellogg Community College from 2011 until her passing.
Marsha is survived by her sisters, Cindy (Gary) Johnston and Cheryl Wynn; half-sister, Sue Staup of OH; four nieces, Pamela (Bruce) Quada, Kimberly (Jim Barnett) Wynn, Nicole (Rob) McEwen, and Jessica (Nathan) Riekena; two great nieces, Brianna Barnett and Mikayla McEwen; two great nephews, Nicholas Riekena, and Noah Riekena; beloved feline children, Whimsey and Stray. She was preceded in death by her parents, and great nephew, David Gordier.
Marsha enjoyed bowling, gardening,and spending time at the casino. She was a huge animal lover, her favorite being cats. She was a kind and caring woman who loved her family.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Thursday February 19, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday, February 20, 2015 from 12 noon to 1:00 pm
A Memorial Service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, on Friday, February 20, 2015, 1:00 pm with Rev. Linda Stoddard of Maple United Methodist Church officiating.
