Obituary for Mary Elaine Troskey

Mary Elaine Troskey
Mary Elaine Troskey, 68, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, surrounded by her loving family and friends at Borgess Medical Center. She was born on February 5, 1948, the daughter of Robert L. Smith and Marjorie M. (Mosher) Smith.
Mary worked as a social worker for the State of Michigan until her retirement. She enjoyed attending the retirees luncheon for the DHS retirees.
Mary is survived by her son, Phillip (Jennifer) Troskey II; grandchildren, Andrew, Makayla, Paige, Addison, and Kyleejo; one niece, Dana and a host of weekend daughters, friends and other loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, and her sister, June Smith.
Mary enjoyed her family more than anything else, she absolutely adored her grandkids. She enjoyed the company of her cats. She loved to go to the theatre, full blast with the kids and to the beach to soak up the sun. Mary also enjoyed going to lunch with her friends. She was also a big sports fan; her favorite team was the Detroit Tigers, but above that she loved to attend the kids sporting events. She had a huge heart and she will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
