Nancy Lee (Hopson) Miller, 67, of Battle Creek, MI, died, Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. She was born September 14, 1945 the daughter of Frederick Andrew Hopson and Gladys Marion (Dixon) Hopson.
Nancy was a 1963 Graduate of Springfield Schools. She was employed at the American Legion Post #298, Regional Medical Lab and Carpenter’s Local #871.
Nancy is survived by Husband: Keith "Pete" Miller of Battle Creek, MI; Son: Edward (Katherine) Runyon of Battle Creek, MI; Daughter: Melissa (Timothy) Dunham of Climax, MI; Granchildren: Alison, Joseph, Katy, Johnny and Tyler; Step-Sons: Mark Miller of Battle Creek, MI and Michael (Valorie) Miller of Battle Creek, MI; Step-Daughter: Karen Mae of Battle Creek, MI; Step Grandchildren: Ondre'a , Allison, Danielle and Jimmy; Step Great Granchild: Blythe; Brother: Larry (Sharon) Hopson of OK; Sister: Patricia (Brian) Baldwin of FL and Brother-in-law: Jon (Barb) Millier of Battle Creek. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Sister- in-law: Linda (Hob) Shepherd and Sister: Marilyn Townson.
Nancy formerly enjoyed bowling, spending time in South Haven, and singing. She sang in a family gospel group when she was young. She loved spending time with her friends and family. She was a member of the American Legion Post #298 Auxillary.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 4 PM to 7 PM.
A funeral service will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene, 12866 Beadle Lake Road on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial tributes may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Legion Post #298 Auxillary.
