Obituary for Peggie L. Lamson

Peggie L. Lamson, 80, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born on April 3, 1936, the daughter of George Walsh and Anna Doherty.
Peggie attended St. Phillip Catholic Schools. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Lutheran Church of the Savior. She worked for Michigan Bell for 25 years and the Battle Creek Health System for 9 years. Peggie was also an ATT Pioneer Lifetime Member.
Peggie is survived by Two Daughters, Nancy (Wayne) Hoard of Battle Creek, MI and Sandy Lesser of Ocean Springs, MS; Son, Michael (Teri) Rettman of Bradenton, FL; Two Brothers, Thomas Walsh and Robert (Kit) Walsh; Six Granddaughters, Tracy (Nick) Cutler, Rebecca Lesser, Jessica Rettman, Tara (Dustin) Schaal, Darby (Matt) McElyea and Laura (Carl) Jones; Two Grandsons, Brian (Jessica Ramos) Savage and Sean Sutton and 14 great-grandchildren. Also survived by Walter (Phil) Rettman and Delbert Lamson and Beloved Friend, Pat Graw. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Ann Doherty, Father, George Walsh, grandparents, James and Lula Walsh, who raised her.
Peggie loved reaching out to people that needed her help. She was involved in the Kalamazoo Food Bank and Lutheran Church Food Bank. She also volunteered at the Calhoun County Sexual Assault Fundraiser Picnic. She enjoyed having coffee with her "Speeds" family. Peggie loved her family, especially her children and her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing with her dog Pattie.
