Rachel Burdette Wilbanks, 63, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at home. She was born on January 24, 1952, the daughter of Ulysses Grant Rutherford and Gladys Josephine (Dotson) Rutherford.
Rachel is survived by her Husband of 17 years - Edward Wilbanks of Battle Creek, Michigan; Daughter, Samantha Elizabeth Fisher of Battle Creek, MI; Son, Billy Joe Harris of Battle Creek, MI; Sister, Ada Reed; Brother, Tim Rutherford; Many Grandchildren, one Great-granddaughter; two step-sons, Brad and Mike; a step-daughter, Chris and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents; seven brothers, three sisters and step- son, Steve.
Rachel loved watching John Wayne movies, dancing to 50's & 60's music plus she loved to sing. Her family was her entire world. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She also enjoyed family cookouts and spending time with her beloved pug Porkchop. Rachel was very proud of the Adult Foster Care that she ran out of her home. She enjoyed helping and caring for people. She was a wonderful woman with a heart of gold who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
