Richard Bernard Belenor was born in this world January 30, 1952 to the union of Donna Bell and James C. Johnson. He was suddenly called home Monday August 6, 2012. Richard was affectionately known as “Black”. He enjoyed play cards, listening to jazz, watching old western movies, sports and at times dancing and singing. He attended Battle Creek Public Schools and later earned an Associate’s Degree in Journalism.
He leaves to cherish special memories, the love of his life, Veronica “Lynn” Williams; daughter, Lisa Beckwith; grandchildren, Henry, Desmond, Sade Richardson, Jordan, Daryl; brother, Thomas Jefferson; sisters, Marilyn (Kermit) Scott, Mary (Leroy) McKinney, Anita (Harry) Weston, Toni Darden; special friend, Novella Todd and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly. Richard was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya Nikie Todd; mother, Donna Bell Johnson; father, James Johnson; brothers, Michael West, William West and sister Frances Smith.
