Condolences

Condolence From: Pat Fosdick
Condolence: I remember Dick well as a fantastic Red Cross Volunteer. As RC Volunteer Director I always knew I could count on Dick to fulfill his commitment and to volunteer for extra activities, if needed. I will long remember him as a very kind and caring individual.

Condolence From: from Aunt Mary: To Rick, Steve, and Theresa
Condolence: I am thinking of each of you this morning. I won't say I know how you feel because I don't. I cannot imagine
the depth of your grief at loosing both parents so close together. My sympathies to each of you. I am sending you
hugs and all my love. If you need someone to listen I am here for you.
Your dad loved his kids. He has done so many things to help you even though he was on a very limited income.
I hope you can focus on good memories and forgive my brother for his shortcomings.
Your dad was a joy. He was generous with his love and time. A trip to Horrocks with him was an event. We enjoyed sampling cheeses, choosing produce and watching him eat a double dip ice cream oh my. Like a child
I had to remind him to use his napkin.
So many memories of the Battle Creek Balloons. He loved them and was fun to share those memories with him.
How appropriate that he was enjoying the balloons from heaven.
I plan to volunteer to place flags on graves as a tribute to him and hope someone will continue what he
started.
I was thrilled to order roses from Horrocks. I know they are beautiful because your dad and I brought home free ones from there. We were suppose to take maybe one but, of course Dick helped himself to a bouquet.

Condolence From: From Mary Phelps
Condolence: Dear Jo, I just reread the Memorial Day newspaper article from the Battle Creek paper. It means even more now. What a wonderful tribute. My heart is full of pride for Dicks dedication to the veterans that served and paid the ultimate price so that we can live in a land that is free. Today is the Fourth of July. We are flying our flag. I just remembered the story you shared with me about the flag pole in your front yard and how Dick got it home. What a guy. The memories are flooding my mind. Hope others will share stories and stories.

Condolence From: From Mary Phelps - sister
Condolence: My thoughts are with each of you today as we grieve the loss of a cherished brother. Is difficult to lose any family member. I would be there but my nerves are very fragile and Don is concerned. I Love all of my brothers and sisters. I want to share a thought that I love: Yesterday is history. Tommorrow is a mystery . Today is a gift and so is called the present. Don't waste time in the past. Life is too precious. To everything there is a season. A time to live and A time to die. Enjoy this moment for it is all that we have. I love all of you. God bless you today and in each coming day.
