Robert "Bob" Maxson, age 63, passed away March 15, 2012. Bob was born December 8, 1948 in Kalamazoo. One of four sons born to R. Jack and Miriam (Haveman) Maxson

Svancara. Bob was a 1967 graduate of Galesburg-Augusta High School, and was employed by Ray Ellison Homes in San Antonio, Texas, for many years. Bob also had a firewood business in San Antonio. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved animals, especially his beloved Dobermans, and his Shih Tzu's. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father (Joe Svancara), brother, Mark Maxson, nephew, Mark Maxson and niece, Robin Maxson. Bob is survived by Cindi Reynolds-Maxson, his brother, Jim (Pat) Maxson, and twin brother, Roger (Bobbi) Maxson. A graveside committal service for family and friends will be held on Monday, March 26 at 11:30 a.m. at Ft . Custer National Cemetery in Augusta. Following the ceremony, please join us at the Augusta VFW for lunch and the sharing of fond memories about Bob's life from family and friends.
