Obituary for Ronald Glenn Bissett

Ronald  Glenn  Bissett
Ronald Glenn Bissett, 61, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 10, 1955, the son of Richard Theron Bissett and Nancy Caryl (Gresley) Storey.
Ron worked at Inter Bake foods for many years until they closed down and then moved to Denso for many years until his retirement. He loved auto racing and driving stock cars. He loved to go out to the Galesburg Speedway to race and work crew chief on his brother, Dicks #14 car; He was rookie of the year in 1975.
Ron is survived by his Wife of 11 years - Roxanne Marie (Gaw) Bissett; Mother and Step-Father Nancy and Bobby Storey; Sons, Chad Bissett, Lucas and Collin Bissett; Daughters, Shannon (Brad Hinton) Bissett, Candy (Keith Brust) Bissett, Casey May, Amanda (Rex) Woodruff, and Stacey (Andy) Warren; Grandchildren, Daniel (Miranda) Sams, Austin (Mariah) Bissett, Shelbie, CJ, Ethan, Alyssa, Lucas, Collin, Kaitlyn, Cassidy, Brendon, Maddie, Jackson, Natalie, Mari, Cameron, Dylan and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Bryleigh, Harper Lee, and one on the way; Sisters, Darlene Heider, Dawn Bissett, and Kim Bissett; Brothers, Dick (Jackie) Bissett, and Jim (Gloria) Storey; Special friends, Billy Ray, III, Raymond "Mooch" Brackett, Kenny Maisner, Butch Heider and a host of close nieces, nephews, friends, and other loving family. He was preceded in death by his Father, Richard Bissett, and a Grandson, Braeden.
Ron enjoyed sports. He enjoyed playing cards, Texas Hold 'Em was his favorite. He loved and had a passion for racing and watching NASCAR. He also enjoyed getting together with his friends and family for NASCAR races as well as food and other gatherings. Ron's family was his world and he adored all of them; but his mother was his rock and favorite person.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 1:00pm with Pastor Ralph Cates of Victory Life Church Officiating.
Interment will take place in Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Care Center in Battle Creek.
