Ronald Jay Ellison, 79, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 27, 1937, the son of Lewis Edwin Ellison and Hazel Roberta (Miller) Ellison.
Ron graduated from Jackson High School in Jackson, Ohio in 1956. Ron joined the U.S. Air Force in 1956 and served faithfully until 1960. Ron worked at Norman Produce from 1960-1967 then went to work at Kellogg's from 1967 until his retirement in 1995. He was a proud member of the 25 year club. He married his beautiful wife Janet Rench in 1960. She survives him, as well as their two children, Steven Ellison and Linda (Vincent) Beuhler. Also surviving him are three grandchildren, Chad Perkins, Michael Perkins, and Jessica Perkins and three great-grandchildren, Lilly, Eizabella, and Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Ellison.
Ron enjoyed playing his guitar at the V.F.W.. He also enjoyed watching college football; he was a huge fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Ron also loved fishing and playing golf. His memories will be cherished by those he leaves behind.
