Obituary for Ruby B Antes (Williams)
Ruby B Antes, 83, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Farleigh's Senior Care Home. She was born on January 4, 1935, the daughter of Ralph E. Williams and Myrtle Virginia (Lamb) Williams.
Ruby grew up near Charlottesville, Virginia. At 16, she moved to Alexandria, and married her husband Dale R. Antes in 1951. They began their family soon after. She was a wonderful stay at home mother to a veteran who was stationed all over while serving in the U.S. Army. They were Baptist but moving never allowed a true church home. Ruby enjoyed reading and she was a big country music fan. She adored her family but her grandkids made her world go around. She was so involved and helped raise them.
Ruby is survived by her Daughter, Sandra (Ronald) Holstrom; Son, Roger (Anna Marie) Antes; Grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Nicholas, Samantha,Taylor, Bobby, and Candy; nine Great-Grandchildren; two Sisters, Audry P (Kenneth) Ange and Omie (James) Weeks. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Mary and Bobby.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Rd., on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, from 11:00am to noon.
