Shirley Mae Vaughn, 72, of Battle Creek, MI, Died, Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Battle Creek Health System. She was born December 15, 1938 the daughter of David H. Vaughn and Vilo Viletta (Pierce) Vaughn.
She retired from Gallagher after many years of service.
Shirley is surivived by: Mother: Vilo Vaughn; Daughters: Cheri Culp, Gloria (Doug) Maurer & Lisa (Vic) Gaw; Sons: Greg (Jody) May & Herb (Lisa) May; 14 Grandchildren & 11 Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Joeann (Gerald) Fox, Carol Moss, Lois (Robert) Young & Debbie (Forest) Housner; Special Friend: Cathy Gillum and Former Husband: Herman May.
She was preceded in death by her Father: David Vaughn and Brother-in-Law: Don Moss; Sister-in-Law: Dot Caswell.
Shirley enjoyed bowling, stock car racing, dancing and watching movies. When she was young, she liked to tinker and worked on bicycles. She was a member of the American Legion Post #298.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Sunday, February 6, 2001 after 2 PM where the family will be present 4 PM to 6 PM.
A memorial service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 11 AM with Pastor Marvin Morgan officiating.
Memorial tributes may be made to the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Care.
