Travis Lee Keathley, 17, of Battle Creek, MI, died in an automobile accident, Saturday, April 16, 2011 in Battle Creek. He was born October 5, 1993.
Travis was a senior at Lakeview High School and was scheduled to graduate in June.
Travis is survived by his Parents: David & Wendi Keathley of Battle Creek; Sister: Megan Keathley of Battle Creek; Paternal Grandmother: Leonora Keathley of Battle Creek; Maternal Grandparents: Bonnie Anderson of Battle Creek and Ray Anderson of Florida; Maternal Great Grandmother: Evelyn Geerts of Battle Creek and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by Paternal Grandfather: Warren Keathley. Travis was in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and particularly enjoyed the Scout camps. He studied computer networking at CACC. He loved all types of music and was teaching himself to play guitar. He loved his family and is going to be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 after 2 PM where the family will be present 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Steve Shafe of Caring Community Church of Albion, MI officiating.
Interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
The family requests memorial donations be made to a fund established as a gift from Travis to his sister Megan for her future education needs, care of the Post Community Credit Union.
