Vivian Eileen (Martin) Banks, 91, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Pennock Hospital in Hastings, Michigan. She was born September 24, 1921 the daughter of Ray W. Martin and Minnie L. (Alvis) Martin.
Vivian was a graduate of Cando High School in Cando, N. Dakota. She was employed at Hydreco (now Bentler Motors) in Galesburg, MI for 18 years and then at Meijer in Battle Creek for 14 years until retiring in 2004.
Vivian is survived by Daughter: Sandra (William) Baker of Battle Creek, MI; Son: Robert Banks of Kalamazoo, MI; Grandchildren: Abbey (Corey) Davis, Noah Baker and Joseph Baker; Great Grandchildren: Tyler Davis, Riley Davis, Brayden Davis, Owen Baker and Conner Baker. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Brother: Robert Martin; Sister: Vicki Johnson; and Grandson: Simon Baker.
Vivian enjoyed sewing, reading, being outside, walking and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. She loved spending time with her family and going to church.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 6 PM to 8 PM.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial tributes may be made to the Alzheimer's Diseases & Related Diseases Association.
