1969 - Spring Break. You, Mike Mead, Tom Beggins, and myself took off for New Orleans in your Chevy II. We drove straight through, all I remember about the trip down was the fog in Tenn., (this was before I-69) thinking about driving off a mountain side, and cracking hard boiled eggs on Tom's head from the backseat.
You won the "bet" made after arriving at the apartment we stayed at (which eerily backed up to the Canal Street Cemetary. The "Beachcomer" Bar with "George Derby" that was just outside the appt. French Quarter excursions, and the unfortunate breakdown of the Chevy II north of Indianapolis.
Dave and Pat came to our rescue and for saving us we helped paint their house off from Riverside Dr. "Wiz", "Zach" - you had a few nicknames back in the day. But I will always remember the fun in NO, playing baseball for Westlake School. Memories of life.
