Condolence: Harry was a great friend and mentor. I was the "Ag teacher" at VBISD Vo Tech Center from 1976-83. I always enjoyed our long talks. Harry will be missed by eveyone that knew him, he was dedicated to education and his family. Take care.

Condolence From: Linda O'Leary
Condolence: I wish to express my deep sympathy to Harry's family, Joan and the children. I worked as Harry's secretary almost 40 years ago and still have good memories of that time. He was a very kind and caring man and I know you will miss him dearly. My prayers are with you all.

Condolence From: Margie Murphy
Condolence: Words cannot describe the impact Harry had on my life at Van Buren ISD. To this day I still mention his name from time to time (from 30+ years ago) and refer the younger set to some of Harry's guiding principals.
When my former colleagues and I get together it seems we inevitably recall some aspect of Harry's leadership - always in awe of the man who was so visionary and rock solid.
My heart goes out to Joan and the rest of the family as they deal with their loss. Know that my many memories of Harry (skating for instance!) bring a huge smile to my face.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: I was a peer of Harry's. While Harry served at VBISD I served in the same compacity at Kalamazoo ISD (Now called KRESA). I remember attending many meetings and events with Harry and always admired his leadership and saw him as a true gentleman. My sympathy to the family and his friends.

Condolence From: Melanie and Warren Hill
Condolence: Uncle Harry was a true gentleman. Honorable, kind, generous and he knew and lived the word integrity. Always available when we needed a helping hand and so supportive of others in life's challenges. A man who listened more than he spoke but said much with few words. We loved and respected him as a person and hope our marriage is as long and loving as his and my Aunt Joanie's.
