My friend Judy and ...
I met in 1956 when I was 17, and she was about 19. I
met her the first week I went to the Federal Center to
work for (at that time) Civil Defense. I was in the
Secretarial Pool where she was, until I was placed in
a permanent Office. We had lunch together every day,
and spent lots and lots of time out of work hours together.
We had such a grand time those years. Judy was in my wedding in 1959. My husband and I did lots of things with Judy and Bob in the early years and the laughs went on
and on.
When she left the Government
for awhile, I stayed on, and we eventually lost track of
each other. When she returned to work there, I had
moved and gone in different directions, from Battle Creek.
She will always be part of my happy, happy young years,
and I regret that we went such separate ways and lost
track...but my memories will remain. And, in my mind
I still see that friend of those times. When we were young
and so full of plans and laughter came so easily.
I am so sorry for your loss.
