When I was reading Air Force hockey player Kyle Haak's bio, I was super bummed out to learn Dean passed away. Dean Dixon? That Dean Dixon?! No way! Way too early, too, and I’m four years behind. We met when I was taking a graphic design class at Austin High when he played for the Mavericks. He was a senior who just happened to be in a separate class in the same big classroom. Dean’s one of those people you never forget; we used to talk hockey a lot. I remember Dean telling me he was from Euclid, Ohio, which seemed like a long way from Austin, Minnesota. So sorry. My condolences to his family!
